***UPDATE***Full closure: Texas Street NB and SB (between College St. and Prien Lake Road) – Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that Texas Street northbound and southbound will be closed between College Street and Prien Lake Road, beginning Monday, September 22, 2025, through Friday, October 24, 2025.
The closure is necessary for crews to make subsurface drainage repairs at the intersection of College Street and Texas Street.
Detour routes:
- Motorists heading south on Texas Street can head east on Prien Lake Road, south on Fifth Ave., then west on College Street. Motorists can also head west on Prien Lake Road, south on Enterprise Blvd., then east on College Street.
- Motorists heading north on Texas Street can head east on College Street, north on Fifth Ave. to Prien Lake Road. Motorists can also head west on College Street, north on Enterprise Blvd. to Prien Lake Road.
(The closure area is marked in RED.) Note: College Street eastbound and westbound will remain open to traffic at the intersection. Traffic on College Street will not be able to turn onto Texas Street heading north. Safety reminder:
