$2.3M mill and overlay project slated to begin on La. 724 in Lafayette Parish

LAFAYETTE, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, September 22, 2025, construction will commence on a $2.32 million dollar project along a 2.427-mile stretch of La. 724, 1 mile West of US-167, in Lafayette Parish.

PROJECT SCOPE
This project consists of asphalt patching, roadway milling, asphalt concrete overlay, drainage improvements, and related work.

WORK SCHEDULE
The work is to take place Mondays through Fridays from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., weather permitting.

TRAVEL IMPACTS
Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work. Therefore, drivers should expect delays. Emergency vehicles will have access through this area while intermittent lane closures are in effect.

The project is estimated to be completed in December 2025.
