I-55 NB and SB Lane Closures from LA 1050 Overpass (Mile Marker 57) to MS State Line (Mile Marker 66) – Tangipahoa Parish – Road Construction - H.0161

There will be intermittent and alternating lane closures on I-55, Northbound and Southbound, from the LA 1050 Overpass (Mile Marker 57) to the Mississippi State Line (Mile Marker 66), beginning on Sunday, September 7, 2025 through Friday, March 6, 2026, weather permitting, while construction crews perform asphalt paving operations. At least one lane in each direction will be open at all times.
Permit Information:
Wide loads are restricted to 12 feet.
Detour Information:
Motorists may use the following route to avoid the lane closures:
Motorists traveling I-55 north may take LA 38 (Exit 61), then east to US 51, then north to Hwy 584, then west to re-intersect I-55.
Motorists traveling I-55 south may take Hwy 584 (Exit 1), then east to US 51, then south to LA 38, then west to re-intersect I-55.
