**UPDATE**
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises the public that the work scheduled to be done on September 3, 2025, on US 171 in Vernon Parish, has been postponed until a later date. We will advise the public as soon as a date has been determined.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises motorists that on Wednesday, September 03, 2025, the southbound right lane of US-171 will be closed. This lane closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for one day, and is necessary to allow DOTD maintenance crews to perform signal pole removal work.
Permit/Detour section
A 12-foot width restriction will be in place on US 171 southbound.
