UPDATE - LANE CLOSURES: Clyde Fant Parkway southbound, Caddo Parish (JDB Project)

(UPDATE 8/28/2025): DOTD advises motorists that the below referenced closure of the southbound lanes of Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport has been rescheduled to begin on Monday, September 22, 2025.

All other details related to the closure remain the same.

Original notification - 8/27/2025:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, September 8, 2025, there will be a closure of the southbound lanes of Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport at the Jimmie Davis Bridge (LA 511) overpass.

This southbound closure is scheduled to be in place for approximately two weeks, and is necessary to allow the contractor for the ongoing $360 million Jimmie Davis Bridge replacement project to perform roadway repairs on Clyde Fant Parkway.

The northbound lanes of Clyde Fant Parkway will remain open, as well as the on-ramp to LA 511 (E. 70th St) westbound, and the Jimmie Davis Bridge itself. The ramp to LA 511 eastbound will be closed as part of these repairs.

Restrictions/Permits: Closure of the southbound lanes only. Northbound lanes will remain open.

Alternate Route: Appropriate detour signage will be in place.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
