The CN Railroad crossing on LA 53 (Central Avenue), located 0.53 miles north of LA 44, will be closed from 8AM to 8PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, weather permitting, while CN Railroad crews make repairs to the track and asphalt surface.

Detour Information:
The following detour will be posted to avoid the road closure:
Motorists traveling north on LA 53 shall take LA 44 west to LA 637, then north to US 61, then east to re-intersect LA 53.
Motorists traveling south on LA 53 shall take US 61 west to LA 637, then south to LA 44, then east to re-intersect LA 53.
