UPDATE: Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that crews will be conducting herbicide application from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the following locations.
Aug. 28
- I-10: 1 mile west of Iowa to Welsh
Message boards will be on display to notify motorists of the operation.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
