***NOW OPEN: LA 585 in West Carroll Parish***
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, August 18, 2025, a section of LA 585 in West Carroll Parish will be closed to thru traffic.
This closure is located approximately 4.2 miles north of its intersection with LA 134, and is necessary to allow for the replacement of a cross drain pipe that is impacting the integrity of the roadway.
The LA 585 road closure is anticipated to last 1 week, and should be reopened Friday, August 22, 2025.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
