UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 788 over Grand Bayou, Red River Parish
(UPDATE 9/23/2025): DOTD advises motorists that repairs to the LA 788 bridge over Grand Bayou in Red River Parish are complete and the roadway has been reopened.

(UPDATE 9/5/2025): This bridge closure on LA 788 over Grand Bayou in Red River Parish has been rescheduled to take place from Monday, September 15, 2025 to Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Original notification - 8/13/2025:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, August 18, 2025, the LA 788 bridge over Grand Bayou south of Hall Summit in Red River Parish will be closed.
This closure is scheduled to be in place until Sunday, August 24, 2025, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform maintenance to ensure the bridge remains in service.
This bridge is located 0.69 miles west of the intersection with US 371. (see included map)
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
Alternate Route: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
