Herbicide application: US 171 and I-10 – Calcasieu and Beauregard Parish

Calcasieu and Beauregard Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that crews will be conducting herbicide application at the following locations.
US 171 (median and right lane shoulders) on Thursday, August 7, 2025
- North of LA 378 to the US 190/LA 12 interchange
Interstate 10: (left lane shoulder) on Monday, August 11, 2025, and Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
- West of Exit 36 to Iowa
- West I-10/I-210 interchange to LA 108
- Ruth St. to Fabacher Road
Both locations will have mobile operations conducting herbicide application.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
