UPDATE - REOPENED: US 165 northbound on-ramps to I-20 eastbound & westbound, Ouachita Parish
(UPDATE): DOTD advises motorists that the replacement of this overhead signage is complete and the below referenced ramps are now OPEN. We appreciate your patience.

Revised for clarification - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the US 165 northbound on-ramps to I-20 eastbound and westbound in Monroe, Ouachita Parish will be closed.
This closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of overhead interstate signage. All other ramps at the interchange will remain open. (see included map)
The ramp closure is anticipated to last 1 day, and should be reopened by Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
Detour signage will be in place. The detour will be the u-turn at US 165 NB and US 80.
This work will be performed weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
