Work is to be permited between the following hours
US 165 Northbound
• Monday – Thursday: 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Friday: 9:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM - 9:00 AM
• Sunday: 6:00 PM - 12:00 PM
US 165 Southbound
• Monday – Friday: 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM - 9:00 AM
• Sunday: 6:00 PM - 10:30 AM
A Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) project to improve the intersection on US 165 near Teakwood Drive in Ouachita Parish is scheduled to begin August 25, 2025.
The $1,576,742.20 construction contract was awarded to Diamond B Construction Co., L.L.C. The project includes the installation of a J-turn and removal of the crossover at Ray Drive to enhance traffic safety and mobility.
The work zone spans US 165 from its intersection with Finks Hideaway Road to just north of its junction with Teakwood Drive. Construction is expected to be substantially complete by November 2025, weather permitting.
Construction activities will require temporary nighttime lane closures. However, lane closures will not be permitted during the following times:
US 165 Northbound
• Monday – Thursday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
US 165 Southbound
• Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
