DOTD announces start for upcoming $4 million roadway improvement project on La. 347 in St. Martin Parish

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, August 11, 2025, construction will commence on a $4 million dollar project on La. 347 from Will Angelle Road to La. 686 in St. Martin Parish.
PROJECT SCOPE This project consist of roadway patching, milling, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.
WORK SCHEDULE The work is estimated to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
TRAVEL IMPACTS Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work, therefore, drivers should expect delays.
Emergency vehicles will have access through this area.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
The project is estimated to be complete April 2026.
