Bayou Dularge Bridge Update: Bridge closed due to mechanical issue (Terrebonne Parish)

Terrebonne Parish, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation (DOTD) announces that vehicular traffic on the Bayou Dularge Bascule Bridge/LA 315 will be closed starting today, August 1, at 6 p.m.
The bridge is closing due to mechanical issues discovered during routine inspections following recent repairs. These new problems are unrelated to the previous motor repairs and could pose a danger to vehicles.
DOTD has already hired a consultant to speed up the repair process, although the exact duration of the closure has not yet been determined. Marine traffic will remain unaffected.
DOTD will share updates as soon as they are available and reminds residents that safety remains our top priority.
