There will be full road closures on LA 44 near the Beech St. and Palm St. intersections on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the times shown below, weather permitting, while construction crews install asphalt surfacing.
Full Road Closure Times:
LA 44 near Palm Street: Friday, August 1, 2025 from 7AM to 12PM
LA 44 near Beech Street: Friday, August 1, 2025, from 12PM to 4PM

Detour Information:
The following detour will be posted to avoid the road closure:
Motorist traveling LA 44 east may take LA 636-3 (W. 2nd St) east to LA 628 (E. 5th St.), then west to re-intersect LA 44.
Motorist traveling LA 44 west may take LA 628 east to 636-3 (W. 2nd St), then west to re-intersect LA 44.
