LA 1040 (Old Baton Rouge Hwy) Full Roadway Closure at Yellow Water Bridge (265 ft. west of Happywoods Rd.) – Tangipahoa Parish

There will be a full roadway closure at the LA 1040 (Old Baton Rouge Hwy) Yellow Water Bridge (located 265 ft. west of Happywoods Rd.) beginning at 6am on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 through 7pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, weather permitting, while DOTD crews perform bridge maintenance and repair operations.

Detour Information:
The following detour will be posted to avoid the road closure:
Motorists traveling LA 1040 west may take US 51 north to US 190, then west to LA 43, then south to re-intersect LA 1040.
Motorists traveling LA 1040 east may take LA 43 north to US 190, then east to US 51, then south to re-intersect LA 1040.
