Effective immediately, LA 323 at Oaklawn Bridge between LA 87 and Irish Bend Road in St. Mary Parish is closed to vehicular traffic.
This closure is necessary due to mechanical issues on the wedge locks on the swing span.
Emergency vehicles will not have access through the area.
The detour will not be posted but will consist of LA 87, LA 182 and LA 322.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
