Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced there will be a FULL closure on LA 82 between 0.75 miles west of N. Island Road and N. Island Road, from 6 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, through 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
The closure is necessary for crews to replace a cross drain pipe on LA 82. All work is weather permitting.
Detour information:
- Motorists heading eastbound on LA 82 will be detoured via LA 82 to LA 27, to LA 14 to LA 35, then LA 82.
- Motorists heading westbound on LA 82 will be detoured via LA 82 to LA 35, to LA 14, to LA 27, then LA 82.
Signs will be posted informing motorists of the detour routes.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
