***NOW OPEN: LA 583 in Richland Parish***
UPDATE (7/24/2025): The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the LA 583, Bee Bayou bridge closure, will remain closed for approximately 2 weeks, to allow for necessary bridge repairs.
(7/17/2025): The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning Thursday, July 24, 2025, there will be a road closure on LA 583.
This closure is located approximately 1.0 mile north of I-20, and is necessary to perform a routine bridge inspection.
The closure is anticipated to last 1 day, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM and should be open that afternoon.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
Detour signage will be in place.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
