There will be a full road closure on LA 44 near the Beech St. intersection (or 1.5 miles west of Main St.) beginning at 6:00AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 through Friday, July 25, 2025 at 7PM, weather permitting, while construction crews replace a cross drain.

Detour Information:
The following detour will be posted to avoid the road closure:
Motorist traveling LA 44 east may take LA 636-3 (W. 2nd St) east to LA 628 (E. 5th St.), then west to re-intersect LA 44.
Motorist traveling LA 44 west may take LA 628 east to 636-3 (W. 2nd St), then west to re-intersect LA 44.
