REOPENED: DOTD announces closure of I-10 eastbound at I-49 to Whiskey Bay

UPDATE: I-10 eastbound from I-49 to Whiskey Bay is now re-opened to traffic.
LAFAYETTE, La. - DOTD announces that effective immediately, I-10 eastbound at the I-49 interchange to Whiskey Bay is closed to the traveling public due to a crash on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.
The detour includes I-49 northbound to U.S. 190.
