***UPDATE***Full closure: LA 1143 (LA 27 to Muria Road) – Cameron Parish

UPDATE: The closure is in effect through Friday, August 1, 2025.
Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced there will be a FULL closure on LA 1143 from LA 27 to Muria Road, starting Tuesday, July 8, 2025, through Friday, August, 1, 2025. Closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The closure is necessary for crews to perform cross drain replacement. The exact location of the closure will be posted on a message board at the start of the project, and it will be updated daily.
Detour route:
- Motorists heading eastbound on LA 1143 can take LA 27 north to Little Chenier Road, east to Muria Road and south to LA 1143.
- Motorists heading westbound on LA 1143 can take Muria Road north to Little Chenier Road, west to LA 27, south to LA 1143.
Detour signs will be installed along the route.
