EXTENDED: I-10 Westbound at Exit 72 – Trumps Road (Egan), Acadia Parish, Ramp Closures

Update #2: Due to weather delays, this press release has been extended to Tuesday, July 15 at 7:00 p.m. until Wednesday, July 16 at 6:00 a.m. weather permitting.

Update: Due to weather delays, this work has been extended to Monday, July 14, at 7:00 p.m. until Tuesday, July 15, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

I-10 Westbound Entrance and Exit Ramp at Exit 72 – Trumps Road (Egan) will be closed on the following nights.
  • Monday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. until Tuesday, July 8 at 6:00 a.m. weather permitting.
  • Tuesday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m. until Wednesday, July 9 at 6:00 a.m. weather permitting.
  • Wednesday, July 9 at 7:00 p.m. until Thursday, July 10 at 6:00 a.m. weather permitting.
  • Thursday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. until Friday, July 11 at 6:00 a.m. weather permitting.
  • Friday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m. until Saturday, July 12 at 9:00 a.m. weather permitting.
These ramp closures are necessary to allow crews to perform milling and paving operations for the I-10 entrance and exit ramps.

Motorist traveling on I-10 WB will only be able to access Trumps Road via the posted detour route, which includes continuing westbound on I-10 to Exit 65 - LA 97 (Jennings, Evangeline), turn south on LA 97, then take I-10 eastbound to Exit 72 – Trumps Road (Egan).

Motorist traveling on Trumps Road will only be able to access I-10 westbound via the posted detour route, which includes taking I-10 eastbound to Exit 76 - LA 91 (Estherwood, Iota), turn north on LA 91, then take I-10 westbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the entrance and exit ramp at Exit 72 – Trumps Road (Egan).

Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.

There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
