DOTD announces start of $1.2M state-funded project on La. 14 in Iberia Parish

IBERIA PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, July 7, construction will begin on a $1.2 million preservation project on La. 14 westbound between the U.S. 90 westbound frontage road and Jefferson Island Road.
PROJECT SCOPE A state-funded project, work will consist of cleaning and resealing existing pavement joints, pavement patching, guardrail, pavement markings, and related work.
WORK SCHEDULE Work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
TRAVEL IMPACTS There will be alternating lanes closures throughout this project.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone beginning Monday, July 14.
Emergency vehicles will have access to this area but may encounter delays.
The project is estimated for completion by December of 2025.
