LA 1026 Upcoming Closure: Section of Lockhart Rd. closed July 7-21 (Livingston Parish)

Livingston Parish, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that a section of LA 1026 (Lockhart Rd.) near Eden Church Rd. in Denham Springs will be closed to traffic for two weeks beginning Monday, July 7, 2025.
The closure, which is part of the $3 million roundabout project at the intersection, will allow crews to install a new box culvert.

- This area will be fully closed from July 7-21. No through traffic will be permitted, including for emergency vehicles.
- Detour: Motorists traveling westbound can take LA 1026 East to LA 1027 South, then continue on US 190 West to LA 16 North, before returning to LA 1026. For eastbound motorists, the route is LA 1026 West to LA 16 South, then US 190 East, and back to LA 1026 via LA 1027 North.
