UPDATE - PROJECT COMPLETE: DOTD announces project to improve LA 170 @ LA 2 intersection in Caddo Parish
PROJECT UPDATE - 8/11/2025: DOTD advises motorists that work on the below referenced project is now complete - all associated roads/lanes are open to traffic.

Original notification - 6/17/2025:
CADDO PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a project to provide drainage improvements at the intersection of LA 170 (S. Pardue St.) and LA 2 (Camp Rd.) in Vivian, north Caddo Parish.
Work on the $834,934 project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 23, 2025, and will require a full closure of the intersection. Access to all properties will be maintained during construction.
The project includes the replacement of a cross drain pipe, milling to remove old asphalt, new asphalt paving, roadway striping, and other related work at the intersection.
This work establishes adequate and proper drainage through the area, helping to ensure the roadway doesn’t flood during inclement weather.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in August 2025, weather and other factors permitting.
Detour signage will be in place during the intersection closure.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
