Drainage System Repairs to begin in Lake Charles on June 30, 2025 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that State Project No. 4400029982, a drainage system repair project, is anticipated to begin on Monday, June 30, 2025.
The approximately $736,000 project includes repairs at the below listed locations:
o Broad Street between I-210 and Falconer Street (drainage repairs, milling & ovelaying)
o At the intersection of East College Street and Texas Street (drainage repairs & pavement patching)
o East College Street between Kingham Road and 5th Avenue (drainage repairs & pavement patching)
Motorists should expect lane closures throughout the project. DOTD will issue announcements notifying the public of upcoming lane closures. Message boards will also be on display to alert motorists of lane closures.
Siema Construction is the contractor for the project. The project is expected to be completed by October, 2025, weather permitting.
