DOTD provides update on closed bridges in Terrebonne Parish

Monday, June 16, 2025 at 12:04:28 PM New Orleans - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) provides updated information on DOTD-maintained bridges currently closed in Terrebonne Parish.
DOTD only closes bridges when they are deemed unsafe for public use and promptly works on solutions to address any issues. Some repairs can be more complex, such as those resulting from barge strikes, due to structural concerns. Many community bridges are over 50 years old and feature moving parts that require specialized maintenance and fabrication.

DOTD recognizes the importance of bridge access and the inconvenience that closures can cause; however, the safety of drivers remains the top priority, and all federal guidelines must be followed.

The following are DOTD maintained bridges currently closed in Terrebonne Parish.
