The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 111 Rehabilitation Project on Monday, June 16, 2025 and will continue for approximately six (6) months. This asphaltic concrete overlay and base stabilization project is located on LA 111 in between US 171 and LA 117. This 8.793 mile project will receive borrow, drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, lime treatment, in-place cement treated base course, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Prairie Contractors, LLC in the amount of $7,024,604.75.
Permit/Detour section
The contractor will begin milling asphalt pavement on Monday, June 16, 2025 and the roadway will remain open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 11’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
