The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises that both LA 70 eastbound and LA 70 westbound will be shifted to the inside lanes on Monday, September 15th, 2025 beginning at 2:00 AM. This this traffic shift is located between LA 22 and the Sunshine Bridge. Please be advised that this lane shift will cause motorists to travel on both the new and old LA 70 roadway, and motorists should expect modifications to driveway and roadway access along this corridor of LA 70.
This shift is to allow the contractor to complete shoulder dressing, as well as to pave the final layer of asphalt on the outside lanes on LA 70.
