- After reviewing the in-place shoring, the tow truck company scheduled to remove the trash truck has requested that the procedure be rescheduled for Monday to allow for additional equipment to be in place, which will better ensure the safety of both the general public and tow truck company employees.
- DOTD has approved this request and has now scheduled the reopening of the Carrollton on-ramp to I-10 west for the afternoon of Monday, June 9.
- DOTD employees will be on-site Monday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. to answer any media questions.

New Orleans - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that work to remove a damaged garbage truck on the I-10 westbound Carrollton on-ramp is ahead of schedule and is expected to be completed by midday tomorrow, Friday, June 6.
DOTD bridge engineers expect to reopen the Carrollton Ave. on-ramp to westbound I-10 once the truck is removed and bridge inspections are complete. They currently estimate the ramp reopening at 3 p.m., Friday, June 6.
DOTD will have personnel on-site beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday to answer any media questions.
