DOTD announces start of state-funded base rehab and overlay project on La. 335 in Vermilion Parish

VERMILION PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that construction recently began on a $7,952,106 state-funded project on La. 335 from its intersection with La. 35 to its eastern junction with La. 694.
SCOPE OF WORK The project consists of drainage structures, soil cement operations, pavement patching, milling asphalt concrete, asphalt concrete overlay, pavement markings, and related work.
WORK SCHEDULE Work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
TRAVEL IMPACTS There will be alternating lane closures throughout this project.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone beginning Monday, June 2.
Emergency vehicles will have access to this area but may encounter delays.
The project is estimated for completion by January of 2026.
