DOTD announces the recent start of a LA 3152/S. Clearview Pkwy road improvement project in Elmwood

Jefferson Parish, LA. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that work has begun on a $4.9 million resurfacing project of a 1.7-mile section of LA 3152/S. Clearview Pkwy., in Elmwood. The work is taking place between US 61/Airline Hwy. and US 90/Huey P. Long Bridge and is limited to evening and overnight hours.

SCOPE OF WORK
The project will include asphalt and concrete patching and resurfacing, concrete work (sidewalk and handicapped curb ramps), and pavement striping. An additional left-turn lane will be added on S. Clearview Pkwy. at the Village East St. intersection, providing additional access into the Elmwood Shopping Center.

TRAVEL IMPACTS
Work is expected to occur primarily on Sunday-Thursday evenings and overnight, weather permitting. Single lane closures are permitted from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday to Thursday evenings and from 8:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Two-lane closures are allowed starting after 9:30 p.m.

No lane closures will be permitted during non-working hours.

Drivers should anticipate delays during work hours and should allow extra time for travel.

Emergency vehicles will have access to this area but may experience delays during work hours.

The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2026.
