ROAD CLOSURE / LA 17 / RICHLAND PARISH

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning June 4, 2025, LA 17, will be closed to thru traffic. Located approximately 1.0 mile north of I-20, in Richland Parish.
This closure is necessary to allow The Town of Delhi, to make drainage improvement in the downtown area.
The LA 17 closure is anticipated to last 2 weeks, weather permitting.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. The signed detour will be US 80 to LA 609 to I-20

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
