LA 47: IWGO Green Bridge overnight lane closure for southbound traffic Friday, May 30

New Orleans - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises the public of a full/multi-lane closure of the southbound direction LA 47: IWGO Green Bridge from 10 p.m., Friday, May 30-5 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025.
The closure is necessary for crews to shift concrete barriers and install lane striping on the bridge deck.
The northbound bridge lanes will remain open.
Motorists wanting to travel southbound on I-510 to LA 47 will be detoured to I-10, Elysian Fields, LA 39, and back to LA 47.
The work is part of the $45 million cleaning and painting project for the bridge, which is currently ongoing and is expected to be completed later this year.
