UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 530 over Old Channel Black Bayou, Caddo Parish
(UPDATE 6/6/2025): DOTD advises motorists that repairs are complete and the LA 530 bridge over Old Channel Black Bayou in north Caddo Parish has been REOPENED.

Original notifiation - 5/23/2025:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the LA 530 bridge over Old Channel Black Bayou in north Caddo Parish will be closed.
This bridge closure is scheduled to take place until Friday, June 6, 2025, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform repairs to the bridge pilings in order to ensure the bridge remains in service to the traveling public.
This bridge is located just east of the intersection with LA 538 (see included map), north of the Town of Oil City.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you, and never drive while distracted or impaired.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
