H.009498 Rapides Parish UPDATE: The new roadway and bridges are NOW OPEN. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment as the project is still ongoing. May 19, 2025 **UPDATE** LA 121: Calcasieu River Bridges Route LA 121 S.P. H.009498 Rapides Parish The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that beginning on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the bridges and roadway on LA 121 over Calcasieu River near Hineston as well as the LA 121 & LA 112 intersection (towards Union Hill) will be closed in order to construct the tie-ins between the new roadway alignment and the existing alignment. The estimated completion date is August 10, 2025. The roadway will be closed just south of the LA 121 & LA 461 intersection, the intersection of LA 121 & LA 112 (towards Union Hill), and on LA 121 approximately 3,800 feet east of LA 463. Permit/Detour section LA 121 westbound traffic will detour on LA 465 westbound to LA 489 southbound and back to LA 121. LA 121 eastbound traffic will detour on LA 489 northbound to LA 465 eastbound and back to LA 121. LA 112 northbound traffic will detour on LA 113 westbound to LA 10 northbound and back to LA 121. The roadway and bridges will be closed to all traffic.
