H.014088 – LA 427 – Ascension Parish

Construction is underway for State Project H.014088. This is an active safety improvement project to create a new left turn lane from US 61 northbound onto LA 427 westbound, as well as widen a portion of LA 427.
LA 427 (Perkins Rd) will continue having alternating lane closures in both directions, continuing from May 8th, between US 61 and Red Oak Dr. Weeknight closures will be from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays for the duration of the construction project. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic through the work zone. One lane of travel will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the work zone.
These closures are necessary for excavating and installing base for widening LA 427.
US 61 (Airline Hwy) will have a signal lane closure in both directions, beginning May 19th, and extending through July 25th, 2025. These closures will be located between the Ascension/East Baton Rouge Parish line and LA 42 in Ascension Parish. Weeknight closures will be from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays. One lane of travel will be maintained in each direction at all times.
These closures are necessary for installing drainage structures in the median and installing signal arms.
These closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
