***UPDATE: The CE&I Project Engineer is REQUIRED to complete the training below. Other CE&I personnel can take the training but only the CE&I Project Engineer is required to complete the training.***
Dear Consultants,
This is a notification that the LPA Qualification Program: Construction, Engineering, & Inspection (CE&I) training is now a required certification for the consultant CE&I Project Engineer performing CE&I services, regardless of whether or not it is a LPA project.
All CE&I Project Engineers, currently assigned to active projects must complete the required training by June 30, 2025, if they have not already done so.

Training Options:
In-person: Attend LTAP’s in-person CE&I training, if available, (certificate issued upon completion), or
Online: View the recorded course on LTRC’s YouTube Channel https: //www.ltrc.lsu.edu/ltap/lpa_online.html (self-certify).
Submission Instructions:
- In-person attendees: Submit a copy of the certificate to the DOTD Project Engineer on all ongoing CE&I projects.
- Online participants: Complete the Self-Certification Form using the “Fill & Sign” feature in Adobe Acrobat, print and submit a copy of the self-certification form to the DOTD Project Engineeron all ongoing CE&I projects. https://bit.ly/LPA_CEI_TrainingSelf-CertificationForm
Please ensure all required documentation is submitted to the DOTD Project Engineer of each CE&I project as soon as possible. This certification is now mandatory for compliance on all active CE&I contracts.
