**UPDATE** **EMERGENCY BRIDGE CLOSURE**
9/11/2025 LA 119 Bridge over Bayou Pierre Natchitoches Parish S.P. No. H.016538.6 Control Section 118-03 The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, September 15th, 2025 that construction will begin on an emergency repair project for the LA 119 Bridge over Bayou Pierre (Bridge No. 083501180205661) in Natchitoches Parish. The bridge is located 5.89 MI. NORTH OF LA 8. The intent of this project is to fully stabilized bents 4 through 7 and restore a load rating of at least 15 – 25 Tons. In addition, the scope will include the addition of another span and sheet pile abutment wall at the east end of the structure. The project was awarded to C.E.C, Inc. of Lafayette, LA for an estimated construction cost of $714,060.74. The work associated with this repair will take approximately 8 weeks to complete, after which the bridge will be reopened to traffic. Permit/Detour section The detour northbound will be via LA 119 to LA 8 west to I-49 north to LA 119. The detour southbound will be via LA 119 north to I-49 south to LA 8 east to LA 119.

Permit/Detour section
The detour northbound will be via LA 119 to LA 8 west to I-49 north to LA 119. The detour southbound will be via LA 119 north to I-49 south to LA 8 east to LA 119.
