UPDATE - LANE CLOSURES: LA 3132 from I-20 to US 171 (Mansfield Rd), Caddo Parish
(UPDATE 10/8/2025): DOTD advises motorists that on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 and Thursday, October 16, 2025, there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 3132 between the US 171 (Mansfield Road) and I-20 interchanges in Shreveport.
These lane closures are scheduled to take place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and are necessary to allow the contractor for the ongoing signage replacement project to pour concrete foundations for the new sign poles.
The lane closures will take place in both directions of LA 3132, though not at the same time.
Restrictions/Permits: Previously permitted oversized loads will be accommodated through the work zone.
Alternate Route: No detour necessary.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Original notification 4/16/2025:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 3132 eastbound and westbound in Shreveport as part of a $6.8 million project to replace the roadway signage.
These lane closures are necessary to allow for equipment mobilization at various locations between the I-20 and US 171 (Mansfield Rd) interchanges along LA 3132. (see attached map)
The intermittent lane closures will take place mostly during the day, with some restricted only to nighttime (near the Mansfield Road interchange), over the course of approximately the next month.
The majority of construction activities during the actual replacement work will be conducted off the shoulder and will not impact traffic. All work will be performed weather permitting.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in Spring 2026.
Signage replacement projects are important and necessary investments in the infrastructure system because updated, clear signage ensures that drivers have accurate information related to roadway configurations. Signs convey regulations and warnings, and help maintain adequate traffic flow through an area.
