Closure: LA 378 NB (Sampson St.) from I-10 service road/Horseshoe Boulevard: additional lane closures – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the following closures will be in effect between the hours of 8 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, and 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
- Full closure of NB LA 378 from I-10 South Service Road/Horseshoe Boulevard to the intersection of I-10 Westbound On/Off-Ramps. (Paving Operation)
- Right lane closure of NB LA 378 from the intersection I-10 South Service Road/Horseshoe Boulevard to LA 379. (Guard Rail and Drainage Repair)
- Alternating left and right lane closures on WB Horseshoe Boulevard between LA 379 and LA 378 (Paving Operation)
Detour Route:
- Motorists traveling on the I-10 South Service Road should continue straight down Horseshoe Boulevard to the intersection of LA 379. Stay on LA 379 until it turns off Miller Avenue and onto Sulphur Avenue. Continue along LA 379, Sulphur Avenue, to the junction of LA 378 and LA 379
These closures are necessary to conduct asphalt milling and overlay operations on Sampson Street.
