UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURES: On Tuesday, April 15, the South Lafourche Levee District will conduct a road barrier closure exercise, which will cause temporary road closures on LA 1 and LA 3235. 9:30 am: Northbound lanes of LA 3235 will detour to one of the southbound lanes at West 11th Street for approximately 2 hours. 1:30 pm: LA 1 in Golden Meadow will be CLOSED at the Leon Theriot Lock Structure for approximately 1 hour. The purpose of these exercises is to ensure the structures are fully operational ahead of Hurricane Season, which begins on June 1.
