NOW OPEN: DOTD announces temporary closure of Interstate 10 Westbound in Lafayette Parish

UPDATE: I-10 westbound, at Louisiana Avenue, is back open to the traveling public as of 12:13 a.m.
LAFAYETTE, La. - DOTD announces that I-10 in the westbound direction, at Louisiana Avenue, is closed to all traffic effective immediately.
This closure is due to multiple crashes on the interstate in that area.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
