***UPDATE***Lane closures scheduled for I-210 Hurricane Laura lighting repair project – Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: The I-210 EB alternating, intermittent lane closures have been extended through May 22, 2025.

Calcasieu Parish
– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the following closures as part of State Project H.015598 – Interstate 210 Hurricane Laura lighting repairs.

I-210 EB between Mile Marker 1 and Exit 3: alternating, intermittent left and right lane closures:
  • Monday, April 28, 2025, through Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily.
These closures are necessary for crews to install ground mount light pole footings.

A continuous left lane closure along I-210 WB from Exit 3 to Mile Marker 1, starting just east of Cove Lane remains in place. The Cove Lane exit will remain open while this work is being completed.

An 11-foot width restriction will be in place during the project.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
