UPDATE: POSTPONED Traffic change at College Drive exit set for Sunday
Saturday, April 05, 2025 at 2:14:48 PM
UPDATE: Due to the threat of inclement weather Saturday night the opening of the new configuration will be postponed to Tuesday at 5 a.m.

BATON ROUGE, La-
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Sunday, drivers exiting I-10 westbound for College Drive will encounter a new four-lane configuration at the end of the exit ramp.

As part of the College Drive Flyover project, the new configuration includes two key features:
  • A free-flow lane that bypasses the traffic signal at College Drive, allowing direct access to Corporate Boulevard. This lane will be separated from College Drive by a rollover curb.
  • Drivers in the right lane of northbound College Drive can still turn right onto Corporate Boulevard at the traffic signal but will not be able to enter the free-flow lane.
The remaining three exit lanes will continue to operate as they currently do, ending at the College Drive traffic signal. The left and middle lanes will be required to turn left (southbound) onto College Drive, while the right lane must turn right (northbound).

This new configuration will be permanent for the College Drive exit ramp. Additionally, new exit lanes from I-10 and I-12 are under construction and are expected to be completed by late April or early May, weather permitting. The new exit lanes will allow drivers on I-10 westbound and I-12 westbound to exit for College Drive before the I-10/I-12 merge. These two exit lanes will combine into one ramp leading to the new configuration.

Safety Reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and we would like to remind drivers to exercise caution and drive with care through construction sites. Please be mindful of work crews and their equipment, and adhere to all posted signage and speed limits.
