Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces there will be alternating eastbound and westbound single lane closures along LA 82 at both the Grand Chenier Bridge and the Superior Canal Bridge on the following days and times.
Grand Chenier Bridge:
- Single lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, starting Monday, April 7, 2025, through Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Superior Canal Bridge:
- Single lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, starting Monday, April 14, 2025, through Sunday, May 4, 2025.
The closure is necessary for work crews to perform bridge repairs associated with State Project H.014549, repairs to Grand Chenier Bridge and Superior Canal Bridge.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
