St. Tammany Parish; LA 435/LA 3241 intersection reconfiguration begins Friday

St. Tammany Parish, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is advising drivers about an intersection reconfiguration at the LA 3241/LA 435 intersection near Talisheek. Beginning Friday, March 28, contractors will start final preparations for segment two of LA 3241 (expected to be completed in July) to connect to the already-open segment linking Talisheek and Bush, La. This specific work is expected to last for 30 days.
Traffic on LA 435 EAST will be directed to navigate around the intersection BY TURNING SOUTH and take a J-turn ON 3241 HEADING BACK NORTH to TURN AND continue on LA 435. WESTBOUND 435 traffic will be diverted to TURN NORTH on LA 3241 and take a J-Turn to TURN BACK and continue on LA 435.
Drivers heading south on LA 3241 from Bush will either turn west at LA 435 or proceed past the intersection and execute a J-turn to continue east on LA 435.
This new configuration may cause additional travel time for those using LA 435, so DOTD recommends that drivers allow a few extra minutes in their schedules when traveling through the area on LA 435.
