Construction is underway for State Projects H.009481. H.009481 has resumed to widen the Bayou Chevreuil Bridge to tie into the limits of the road widening project.
This project update is to announce that the new Bayou Chevreuil Bridge on LA 20 will be opening on Thursday, March 27th between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Motorists should be vigilant of the new traffic alignment. Motorists will continue straight onto the new bridge once opened, and the temporary detour road and bridge will be closed for removal.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the work zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
