The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that a project to install 28 new closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras along I-10 from Lake Charles to Scott was recently completed.

The $2.5 million operation called for connecting the new cameras to the existing DOTD main fiber network along I-10. This provides additional areas for the public to view live-stream coverage along I-10 from Lake Charles to the Lafayette area.

CCTV cameras provide the public with access to real-time coverage of traffic conditions along stretches of I-10. Having these additional cameras allows traffic monitoring, operations, and safety along the I-10 corridor.

Ozark Traffic Management was the contractor for the project, with Neel-Schaffer Inc. serving as the designer.

These cameras can be viewed on 511la.org or by downloading the 511 mobile app.
